To ensure the regular operation of the Canton Fair, the China Foreign Trade Centre, in collaboration with the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, the Jiaxing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and the Pinghu Municipal Bureau of Commerce, jointly organized the “Trade Bridge” event on June 24. This activity brought leading multinational purchasing companies of the Canton Fair to Pinghu, Zhejiang, focusing on the foreign trade transformation and upgrading bases for luggage and electric ride-on toys.Vice Director Zhang Sihong of the China Foreign Trade Centre and Vice Director Lu Yong of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, along with other relevant officials, attended the event. Sixteen buyers from the United States, Mexico, the UAE, Morocco, Hong Kong, and other countries and regions conducted on-site factory visits to eight manufacturers in Pinghu. They also held in-depth negotiations with 50 companies participating via the online platform service package. Preliminary statistics indicate that the intended order volume from buyers exceeded $28 million.

Zhang Sihong noted that this event marked the first time the Canton Fair had entered Zhejiang, delving deep into the heart of the industry and extending its service chain. This fully demonstrated the Canton Fair’s commitment and proactive efforts in serving the broader foreign trade sector, serving as a concrete step toward building a “never-ending” Canton Fair. Lu Yong emphasized that Zhejiang Province is continuously advancing high-quality development in foreign trade. He expressed hope that both suppliers and buyers would seize the opportunities provided by the Canton Fair platform to secure more orders—and larger ones at that.
