The first phase of the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) concluded today (October 19th). As of 17:00 today, the number of overseas buyers attending offline exceeded 157,000, representing a 6.3% increase compared to the previous session and setting a new historical high for the same period.
The total exhibition area of the first phase of this Canton Fair reached 520,000 square meters, with over 25,000 booths and approximately 12,000 participating enterprises. Among them, more than 5,500 high-quality and characteristic enterprises hold titles such as national high-tech enterprises, manufacturing single-item champions, and specialized, refined, characteristic, and innovative “little giant” enterprises. This number is 400 more than that of the previous session, accounting for 55% of the total number of high-quality and characteristic enterprises at this Canton Fair. In the exhibition areas, a batch of high-tech and high-value-added products, including precision processing machine tools, AI smart wearable devices, green and energy-saving home appliances, and intelligent robots, attracted numerous merchants to stop and experience them. From the past mode of processing according to provided designs to now launching original designs and overall solutions, more and more Chinese enterprises at this Canton Fair have demonstrated the new trends and new driving forces of the transformation of “Made in China” towards high value-added “Intelligent Manufacturing in China”.
