On February 27, the promotion event for the 137th Canton Fair was successfully held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Approximately 60 representatives from local government trade promotion agencies, business associations, enterprises, and media attended the event.
Liu Xiaomin, Exhibition Director of China Foreign Trade Centre Group Co., Ltd., stated that the 137th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou from April 15th to May 5th. This session of the Canton Fair is brimming with highlights and innovations in terms of thematic structure, exhibitors and exhibits, trade promotion activities, and service experience. He also invited Dutch companies to actively utilize the Canton Fair APP to enhance their participation experience and improve procurement efficiency.
The event was graced with speeches from distinguished attendees including Jin Yuan, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands; Wu Zhe, Chairman of the EU-China Exhibition Alliance; Boudewijn Poldermans, Chairman of the Netherlands-China Business Council; Nick Houze, General Manager of Gree Netherlands; Wang Jie, Director of GAC International Europe Co., Ltd.; and Li Jing, Senior Account Manager at China Southern Airlines’ Europe Marketing Center.
During their stay in the Netherlands, the working group engaged in discussions with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, The Hague Business Agency, Rotterdam Partners, the EU-China Exhibition Alliance, the Netherlands-China Business Council, and RAI Amsterdam on various topics including promotional activities, delegation participation, supplier-buyer matchmaking, and exhibition venue operations. They also visited Koopman International, an international importer, to understand their latest procurement needs and extended an invitation to participate in the regular “Trade Bridge” matchmaking events. Additionally, the group conducted a field study at the Amsterdam Household Goods Exhibition and interacted with several exhibitors.
