Cross-Chamber Collaboration Drives Buyer Turnout: 140th Canton Fair HK Buyer Salon Successfully Held

On the evening of September 10, the Canton Fair Hong Kong Office, together with foreign chambers of commerce in Hong Kong, hosted a buyer salon to specially promote the 140th Canton Fair.

Jointly organized across chambers, with five-country chambers linked for the first time. The event brought together the German, Dutch, French, Italian and Canadian chambers of commerce in Hong Kong for the first time, with targeted promotion closely aligned with procurement needs. Alexander Steinkuhl, President of the German Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and Quinten Kah, Chairman of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, attended upon invitation.
International major buyers gathered. More than 60 guests attended, covering Global Retail 250 companies and leading regional industry players, including France’s Carrefour, Germany’s TGI, Germany’s OBI, the Netherlands’ EDCO, and Switzerland’s EuroGroup.
A new promotion model was created. Through a full-process design of “warm-up — presentation — exchange — interview,” the event greatly enhanced participation and experience.
The event achieved notable results. The on-site response was positive, with guests especially impressed by the AI smart navigation video and amazed by the breakthrough experience of booth-level smart navigation across the Canton Fair’s massive venue. Four chambers from Germany, the Netherlands, France and Italy explicitly stated they would organize delegations to attend, while Carrefour plans to organize about 100 buyers to attend and procure.
