Frankfurt, March 10th – The promotional event for the 139th and 140th Sessions of the Canton Fair was successfully held in Frankfurt. Mr. Su Bin, Deputy Director General of the China Foreign Trade Centre, and Mr. Huang Yiyang, Chinese Consul General in Frankfurt, attended and delivered speeches. Over 100 representatives from the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (BVMW), leading purchasing enterprises, industrial and commercial organizations, and media participated both online and offline.

Mr. Su Bin stated that against the backdrop of profound changes in the global economic and trade landscape, the Canton Fair serves as a bridge for efficient connection, open sharing, and win-win cooperation for the global business community, including Germany, injecting greater certainty and stability into world trade. The Canton Fair will continue to advance digital empowerment, optimize service guarantees, and persistently improve and enhance the participation experience.

This local roadshow attempted innovations in two aspects: First, expanding the reach through online and offline integration, connecting new and old buyers in surrounding cities like Berlin, Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, and Offenbach from the main venue in Frankfurt. Second, the presentation content was both comprehensive and focused. Adopting a combination of general promotion and professional introductions, the event highlighted key sectors for German buyers, such as Vehicles & Two-wheeled Products, Gifts & Decorations, Health & Recreation, as well as new dedicated zones at the Canton Fair for Service Robots, Smart Healthcare, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The content was both holistic and targeted.
During their stay in Germany, the working group visited the Frankfurt Light + Building exhibition, engaging in in-depth discussions with Messe Frankfurt on specialized exhibition organization, venue operations, and digital applications. They also conducted field visits to leading purchasing enterprises such as Metro and Globus Baumarkt to research procurement needs and gather feedback and suggestions.
