六秩芳华、同心筑梦：广东外语外贸大学60周年校庆倒计时10天暨第三批集体捐赠仪式举行
On the afternoon of November 12, the “Sixty Years of Glory, Jointly Building Dreams” event marking the 10-day countdown to the 60th anniversary of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) and the third batch of collective donation ceremony was held in the International Conference Hall of the Administration Building at the Baiyunshan Campus. Secretary of the Party Committee of GDUFS Shi Youqi, Vice President Liu Jianda, heads of the Party and University Office, relevant colleges, and functional departments attended the event. More than 30 representatives from donating enterprises and alumni also participated.

In his speech, Secretary Shi Youqi extended a warm welcome and sincere thanks to the attending alumni and guests. He stated that the generous donations from alumni and all sectors of society not only affirm the university’s achievements in running schools but also gather the spiritual community of “GDUFS people.” Shi Youqi introduced that GDUFS will focus on the positioning of “meeting national needs, future directions, urgent needs of the Greater Bay Area, and GDUFS’s capabilities,” accelerate the cultivation of high-quality foreign-related talents with country in mind, global vision, and professional literacy, and demonstrate new achievements in serving the strategies of building a strong education country and a strong talent country. He also issued an initiative to global alumni and friends from all walks of life, hoping that everyone will be promoters of the GDUFS spirit, drivers of development, and companions in progress, growing into “five-have” talents with “a country in mind, the world in sight, direction in action, skills in hand, and strength at feet,” and work with the alma mater to write a new chapter in the high-quality development of education.
石佑启书记在致辞中，对到场的校友和嘉宾表达了热烈欢迎与诚挚感谢。他表示，校友与社会各界的慷慨捐赠，既是对学校办学成就的肯定，更是对“广外人”精神共同体的凝聚。石佑启介绍，学校将紧扣“国家所需、未来所向、湾区所急、广外所能”的定位，加快培养具备家国情怀、全球视野和专业素养的高素质涉外人才，在服务教育强国、人才强国战略中展现新作为。他同时向全球校友和各界朋友发出倡议，希望大家做广外精神的发扬者、发展的推动者、奋进的同行者，成长为“心中有家国、眼里有世界、行动有方向、身上有本领、脚下有力量”的“五有”人才，与母校携手书写教育事业高质量发展新篇章。
At the event site, GDUFS alumnus Guo Xihong, Chairman of ibuychem and BSR, donated 1 million yuan on behalf of the enterprises to support the alma mater in co-building the “Tenglong Overseas Talent Program.” Secretary Shi Youqi accepted the donation check on behalf of the university and presented a donation certificate to Guo Xihong, creating a warm atmosphere at the scene.
活动现场，广外校友、买化塑，数字丝路董事长郭喜鸿代表企业捐赠100万元，用于支持母校共建“腾龙出海人才计划”。石佑启书记代表学校接受捐赠支票，并向郭喜鸿颁发捐赠证书，现场气氛热烈。
The “Tenglong出海Talent Program” industry-education integration project is a five-year strategic talent project jointly created by ibuychem, BSR, and GDUFS with a total budget of 1 million yuan. It aims to respond to the national strategies of “Manufacturing Power” and “Integrated Development of Real Economy and Digital Economy.” As an internet platform under Huizheng that focuses on digital marketing and transaction services for the integration of domestic and foreign trade in the manufacturing industry, ibuychem and BSR’s cooperation with GDUFS will focus on AI digital cross-border e-commerce and foreign trade talent training.
